It is the responsibility of this team to help define the issues to be researched and to give the other teams a direction as to the purpose of the issue and the tone of the position to be taken, considering the target audience (eg, voters, citizens of Richmond Hill)

  • In consultation with Board of Directors, determine key issues of concern: e.g. behavior of council members, changes to Official Plan and zoning by-laws, access to staff, chronic issues with administrative departments, voting of council members on motions, etc., and outline specific concerns (narrow the focus).
  • Prepare draft content for further development by other teams and discussion by directors.

Publications and Social Media Team:
It is the responsibility of this team to take the researched items from the Research Team and draft posts for our printed flyers, advertisements, website and social media pages, creating attractive and easy-to-read posts that will attract readers to our sites and publications.

  • Take researched content on issue and formulate posts for social media and webpage, and printed copy.
  • Determine creative approach to post for each issue.
  • Document each post accurately.
  • Forward post to directors for approval.
